The food is always incredible. The plating is beautiful, full of fresh ingredients. The chilli oil that comes with the birria is an amazing touch. I've been eyeing the crème brûlée for a while but have always been SO full after eating- but I asked if I could get to go. I'm extremely glad I did too! The staff is so friendly, and the service is fantastic. This is definitely one of Anchorages best gems with a beautiful topical feel to the restaurant.

What a fun and new experience! Like many others have said, this is like nothing else in Anchorage. The ambiance is immediately fun and warm. Felt like a little side joint in Hawaii, loved it! The service was kind and attentive. The food was truly better than expected. I had the mushroom soup that was fantastic. The crunch wrap was a winner. The avocado salad was beautiful and packed with flavors. The monte cristo was the best I've had. Albeit, I have only had one other but nonetheless, it knocked it out of the park with the sweet and savory combination. Add to the fast that's the presentation of everything was top notch! Icing on the cake was the bread pudding, incredible flavors and textures. Cannot wait to go back for another experience!

Food ordered by others looked amazing passing by me so deciding what to order was difficult. I ordered the Birria Tacos, I liked that I could dip how I wanted vs it coming soaked with extra sauce on the side. Passion gimlet cocktail was tasty. We were there right at 12 and it was pretty busy, but I was able to secure a table for 3 without a wait. Service was great! Street parking only.

Love the ambiance!!! I ordered the Huevous Escondido with eggs made your way - so filling and full of flavor. And a cafe de la olla (the only way coffee should be served ). The spousal unit ordered the Asian salad - it came with two different dressings; one sesame on the soba noodles and the other a peanut-based dressing at the bottom of the bowl for the remaining salad. Delish, but unexpected. Also ordered the chicken pesto sandwich which I think would be better served as an appetizer as it was rather small, but still very tasty. Bottomline - will return. Love the vibe. Love the brunch options and can't wait to try the cocktails

No reservations, so if you're a fool like myself and go on Mother's Day, make sure to get there before they open. Despite the crowd, I was seated and my order was taken quickly. The atmosphere is fun and warm, which is something Anchorage always needs more of! I had the hidden eggs and sweet glazed monte cristo, and while both were decent, they were absolutely drowned in sauce. Even the side salad's lettuce leaves were swimming in it! Looking at dishes for other tables come out, it seems like they were all that way. I probably wouldn't come here to dine in again, but just for drinks or during one of their drag show + dinner events which they do periodically throughout the year. Worth checking out for some unique food and a vibe that definitely doesn't fit town.

Oh my. We arrived in the last hour before closing. Could not have had a better experience. It is a very fun look with flowers, plants and rattan. I had the tortilla chicken soup and dare I say OMG. Best one I can recall. The flavor and the fire was a great balance along with the creamy sliced avocado on top. I then had the wonderful seafood tostado while my daughter had the chicken chilaquiles with an egg on top. So much flavor. On top of all this their cocktails are wonderful. A Fleur De Palmier and Gi Le Glamour. I can't recall what they were only that they were refreshing and I'd do em again. Just a wonderful addition to the Anchorage food scene.

The area outside is a little sketchy, and you need to pay for metered parking. I ordered the Palmeira smoothie and it was good. I prefer mine a little sweeter, but theirs was okay. The ambiance is beautiful, it felt like I was in a tropical place and it's relaxing. Our server is nice! We didn't end up ordering dessert because we were so full! I would recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing and beautiful ambiance.

Such a fun tropical ambience! Wouldn't have known it was -15 out with fresh snow! We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in the door. Our server was friendly and attentive. The only thing that could be improved would be having our water refilled during the meal itself. The crunchy chicken wrap was so yummy and so filling. We shared the cinnamon roll which had more of a bread texture than a flaky cinnamon roll. Nonetheless it was still tasty. Would recommend getting there early on a Saturday for brunch as parking and seats fill up quickly !

Winter got you down? Come here! I got the Monte Crisco special! So freaking good. Wow I mean how do you do it. This was magical, so savory and sweet. I was blown away with this dish. So good. I wasn't able to finish so I had to take some home, hours later re heated it was just as good. side salad was perfect as well. Yes I said it and it's in writing for my wife. The salad was great!! I ate the whole thing. The staff here are just all around amazing, friendly and sweet. Genuinely happy and just sweet people. Wife got the special tacos. Wow so good as well. The space is larger than the last time we came. Clean and organized. It makes you feel like you stepped out of the cold and into a tropical paradise. We will be back! thank you again for a great meal.

Amaaaaaazing food here! Service was perfect and the place is fixed up really nice. Seemed like the neighborhood was a bit sketchy, but maybe their rent is cheaper there. I'm glad they were there, because it's within walking distance of the Comfort Inn - Ship Creek. I would suggest ANYONE visiting Anchorage check this place out. And who'da thunk we'd get GREAT Mexican food in ALASKA??? P.S. Bread Pudding was TO DIE FOR!
